Its Computer Science Education Week! Hour of Code – Try it!

CSEdWeek2014This week, December 8 – 16th, is computer science education week.  It is never too late, or too early to learn to code!  Have your student check out the following educational resources at home:

There are coding tutorials for all ages (from 4 – 104).  Your kids (and grown ups too!) can code with Anna and Elsa (Disney Frozen), Angry Birds, and even Zombies vs. Plants, and more.   It is serious fun!  There are also lots of at home activities you can do that do not require computers or devices, yet introduce coding and computing concepts.   You do not need to sign up for any events to begin learning – these websites have great self paced tutorials and learning activities disguised as fun-u-cation.

These websites are accessible all year round, even beyond this dedicated Computer Science Education Week.  It is always a great time to spend an hour (or more!) on learning to code.  Happy Hacking!
